holy fuck it's been a long time.

well, here's the news:

we're three and a half songs away from having all guitars and bass recorded. i'll then do som elittle synthy stuff and create the raw, high-quality sound files of the intro stuff.

i think we're calling the album descent, and it will be the first ever to include genuine extraterrestrial audio in an album. i think that's pretty special.

i asked sean ingram to do a backing vocal on a song, but he declined because coalesce is preparing a new cd/book/dvd/tour but said to get ahold of him about playing the lawrence, ks show with them in august. how rad is that?

i also just yesterday discovered a new technique for encoding secret messages in cd audio format that does not require backmasking or tempo alteration. also rad.

so anyway, things are looking very good. we should have the music ready by june with vocals recorded and hopefully mixed.

dustin miller was supposed to master it, but his band is on tour all summer with the serpent son and i'm not sure if he'll have time to do it. all i know is we need to get everything together before the end of june and get some cds pressed for the possibility of playing in august.

yeah, so there it all is. been a busy last month.
