well you could look at it this way and say that the US gov't is playing this up to keep the people afraid. People who are afraid will listen to anyone who claims to be in charge and offer safety. After all it is election time and Bush's campaign seems to revolve around the war on Terror ... so wouldn't it make sense to boost his approval rating by making the terrorists seem more than just a nussance like Kerry's campaign has said they should be reduced to.
but yeah nuclear war scares me like woah. I don't want to have to react to something like that in my life-time to have a nuclear bomb dropped close to home somewhere. I mean if they launch nukes then America will launch them and everyone else around the world will and then poof no more world like we know it.
