Tonight, in honor of me settling in to my new place, I'm having a house-warming party cocktail social/soiree. Because I have to buzz people in at the gate, I figured it would be fun to have a password, and of course one thing led to another and the entire occasion became spy themed. Guests were asked to attend in their best spy attire, I will be playing only the best in Mod, Surf, and noiresque Jazz and in the background I will be playing a few of my favorite spy films: Modesty Blaise, Our Man Flint, Fathom, Casino Royale, Return of the Pink Panther.

The occasion was a success. People found the place by the USSR flags we hung in the windows, with the curtains deawn around them as to make them appear luminecent (sorry Ronnie) I'm recovering from a death-like hangover while constructing a beeramyd. From the looks of things, people used far too much vermouth in their martinis.









The banana walnut hotcakes at John's Ocean Beach Cafe are made for hangovers.
