I got back from Oregon today. Medford to San Francisco in 5.5 hours. Not too bad if I say so myself. In my grandfathers condition, any cold or respitory infection can be disasterous, but when I left he was looking much better then when I arrived and he tells me he plans to go hiking tomorrow with his oxygen tank strapped to his back. No one dared tell him he may be pushing himself too hard. He's expressed many times that if he's gonna go, he'd rather be out on one of his treks than wasting away on his back. The guy is truely an inspirational figure.
