Hello all in SG Land. Its your friendly neighborhood Hammersmith. I apologize for any typos in this entry, but Im still trying to figure out how to use a Czech Keyboard. Apparently the y button and the z button are reversed, and there are punctuation marks I cant figure out how to make, like an apostrophe.
Anyway, sorry to see endlessben zotted. Then again, he admitted it was only a matter of time before it happened.
Apparently I can get internet in my dorm room if I want to, but I think that would keep me from really exploring the city.
And I have to tell you, Prague is fucking BEAUTIFUL. By far the most beautiful city Ive ever seen in my life.
Ive been doing a good deal of drinking here. A kid I was with and I went halfsies on a bottle of Absinth, and were going to break that sucker open as soon as Im done online.
I havent started my classes for this program yet. I start tomorrow. I have a crash course in the Czech language too.
And Ive managed to eat meat again (first time in nearly a year) and not get sick from it. Turns out, though, it would have been easier to stay vegetarian in this city than I had originally thought.
Im looking forward to so much on this trip. Apparently David Bowie is going to be playing here on Tuesday, so a whole bunch of us are going to go see if we cant get in to see him. Should be cool, and probably a lot smaller than a show in the US would be. Metallica is playing sometime soon too, and I just want to go to be in a club small enough to yell at them "YOU SUCK" and have them actually hear me.
Plus, in about two weeks we go to this huge Film Festival for like two days. Its about an hour out of the city and its supposed to be one of the biggest festivals in Europe. Apparently last year this festival premiered Dogville, which is an excellent film, and the year before that they debuted Amelie, which is one of the best films ever made PERIOD!
Anyway, Im off to get started on my bottle of Absinthe. Sorry to see that none of my Limbo Girl friends have gone up yet. But Ill be checking back again next week with my fingers crossed.

Edited to add: Oh yeah, apparently that film festival will also be playing Farenheight 9/11. So, instead of having to wait til I come back to see it, it looks like Ill be able to see it before it hits the US.
Ill make sure to write up a review of it on the boards for you all.
Edited again to add: Hold off on that. It might not be playing while Im there. DAMN IT! I WANNA SEE THAT FILM!
