I did it! I finally got my first tat!



I got it on my ribs and holy crap it hurt like hell! The lines come from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T.S. Elliot, and they are my favorite lines in all of literature. They have special meaning for me as this last year has been full of monumental changes in my life ... divorce, leaving my religion, pushing forward in a new direction professionally, ... the list goes on.

On a less serious note, I got a new guitar for an early birthday present from a wonderful friend who may end up becoming much more than just that. Only time will tell, but she is very sweet and far too kind to me. I had a hard time accepting the gift because it cost way too much I'm sure, and I have issues with accepting gifts in the first place, but I am trying very diligently to be a gracious recipient. Besides, it is really fun to play and sounds sooooooooo good!
