vegan sugar can be many things... i use rogers organic, because it's filtered through vegetable filters rather than bone charcoal. you can probably find it either in the health food/natural food section of a safeway, or with the rest of the sugar.
vegan syrup... i dunno about that. i just use regular butter-flavoured syrup, because it has no animal ingredients, and it's not technically maple syrup, but i don't know anything about the refining process. you can use applesauce as a substitute, though.
