This weekend i finally got the break i needed from reality with an impromptu party with one of my best friends and some of her friends. A crazy "Skins style" houseparty, but without the sex lol.
I danced like a loon and took my fair share of intoxicants and good old reality blockers and got home at 7am with some seriously dilated pupils which kind of freaked me out when i looked in the mirror!
I tried to sleep, couldn't manage it until 10am. Then slept till 2pm, got up and re-humanized myself, found out i had dodged a hangover or comedown and went to work.
Then to now, finally home, feeling refreshed by a bit of good old fashioned, worry-less fun.
Tomorrow the band i manage are doing the last day of vocals and i will be on hand to do any coaching needed and generally make sure things go smoothly. Then we will have to wait for mixing and get the album out there!
There are still lots of bad things on my mind but to be honest i have surprised myself by coping very well with them. I haven't moped and have just got on with things and done things for myself instead of taking care of everyone else for a change. I think i needed it.
Pay day on Friday so if i have enough left over i am thinking of getting a new tattoo the following week
I feel like i need to start something new in life. A new hobby or a re-vamp of an old one.
Not sure what that is yet...
