“ Who Goes There?” by John W Campbell Jr and published in the August 1938 edition of Astounding Science Fiction ~ which spawned two movies. Each a Hollywood gem in its own right for its translation variant of the original prose. The Thing From Another World in 1951 and The Thing in 1982.
