So, what to write for my first ever blog?

I tried to think of something profound but in the end I thought I'd explain why I decided to be a member.

I first heard about SG about 12 years ago whilst talking to a friend about modelling. She was getting into alt modelling and had met a few SG girls. She told me about how cool they were and the idea behind the site. Although I come across pretty straight lace...working in a professional role (shirt and tie etc) I have another side. I'm an old goth and a fan of alternative culture, have a couple of tattoos (more to come soon), I'm a biker (being chairman of a bike club for a few years) as well as being very open minded, well, I'd like to think so.

I was never a fan of the portrayal of the stick thin, carbon copy fashion model, and I totally loved the idea of whatever you look like, or how you wish to present yourself, you are beautiful in so many ways.

I've enjoyed following SG on twitter, or tumblr or any other site, and have always loved the pics. All you girls are gorgeous! I recently decided that not only should I enjoy the free pics, but I should contribute and support this amazing site.

Now I get access to the whole site, and get to interact with loads of great people from all over the world. And best of all, I get to do so with my my wonderful wife, who also thinks the girls are beautiful, and is happy to look over my shoulder and comment on something she loves about the pic.

So, to conclude, thank you for allowing the world to realise beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colours and styles!
