......Today has been an interesting day. But first....SINCE BY MAN!!! I got to go see them on Saturday. They kicked ass. They completely tore up that stage.....and the general audience area as well. The singer kept jumping out into the crowd area and fucking with the audience. It was fucking fun as all hell. I just wish the crowd would have been more lively 
What is with Seattle and the crowds being so...lathargic. There are no more fun circle pits or general mosh pits or whatever....now it's just guys and girls spastically moving limbs here and there. What happened to the energy at the shows? oh well, one can dream right?
After the show, we went to a friend's house party, at which my friend Ross's band was playing. It happened to be a friend's birthday party as well. I drank way too much on a too little filled stomach. Ended up getting a little too drunk as a result and left the party at around 5 in the morning.....slept off hangover till 4:30 pm. What a waste of the day. Need to drink less....and get a bike so I can get in shape a bit. yes....i think so.
Anyway....Monday, went to have drinks with Josie and Andy at the whisky bar. We are trying a new monday night tradition. They have board and card games there, and we ended up getting a little typsy and playing UNO. That game is fun with a few drinks....I haven't heard so much shit talking between friends in a long time. Fun times.
Anyway....here's why today ruled. I was minding my own business, when I get a call from a guy named Chris, who is a bass player in a band called Black Belt. Their guitar player is leaving the band soon, and he saw an ad I put on Craigslist and liked, so he wants me to come check them out at their show tonight and see if I like them. If so, hopefully we'll get together and jam. I have heard of his band, but not heard them. They just happen to be playing a show with Ross's band BULLET CLUB, so it works out. I'm just pretty excited by this. It would rule to be in a rock band again. I'm fucking excited, and nervous. I hope things work out...it would rule. They also happen to be pretty hooked up in the Seattle Scene I believe. They're playing the Capital Hill Block Party this year. THis would be an awesome opportunity for me.
I also hope the punk project I'm in, The Rain City Shwillers, finds a drummer and we can start playing shows soon.
