My DVD player is in the shop and I have a row of new noir dvds to watch; I've smoked my last cigar, and my best gal has gone out with her friends without me (I usually provide comic relief).
At least I have a half bottle of wine and a half bottle of brandy to entertain myself with. I'm reading a good book and counting the hours until the races tomorrow.
Is that good or bad?
