In exactly six days I leave Boston for a six-week, 18-city, 1,750-mile road trip. Should be hella rad, but I'm also a tad nervous.

Huh. Been focusing on the blog -- and a new girlfriend, who looks, eerily, like Penelope. Seems like SG presaged my tastes. Or vice versa. But regardless... mmm. Thanks, all, for whatever clarification I can credit to you.

Went to a house party Saturday night. Ran into a woman I'd met during the Somerville Art Beat near the end of July. Turns out we've both been harboring crushes on each other since then -- both thinking we'd never see each other again. Well, I'm super pleased we did. Yay, friends of friends!

I once rode the train four days straight and thought perhaps I might die by the time I arrived at my destination. Never again I say!

Went out last night with friends from work. Got hung up hanging out at Paddy Burke's until 12:30 or so... missing the Tardy show at the Abbey. Had an awkwardly affectionate moment with a friend at the bar, and today she suggested we "just forget it and keep it between you and me." Ouch!

I got cable television last weekend. I've been watching a lot of TV. After three years of not even having local reception, I think I might have to be careful. Last night I watched documentaries about hot dogs and covered bridges. I'm becoming an old man!

Lots of friends leaving the place I work at -- some of their own accord, and some against their wishes. It's been a sad week, but I'm still here. It'll certainly be a different place. Sigh.

Firmly ensconced in my new office looking out the window at the changing light on the bricks opposite the back alley. Hauling ass on a book draft that's due at the end of the month -- looks like I secured someone to write the introduction, though... and like I might have secured another book opportunity -- this one rooted in Media Diet!
twelvis:
hey i'll write a praise for your book: "i used to rob old jews to pay for my oxy habbit. but h3athrow's book totally changed my life!"

Good show last night -- lots of people, folks danced on the edge, and the other bands were rock solid. Full review in Media Diet.

I just got an email from an ex-girlfriend chiding me for not getting a physical and "tested" recently. Truth is, I haven't been to a doctor in about six years. It's high time I do so. Appointment to be made...
