I had lunch with a friend visiting from Washington, DC, yesterday. We met back in October while I was in DC during my big road trip for work, and there's was some sort of connection. Zing. I invited her to go to a party with me, but my "friends" never let me know where the party was, so we ended up not connecting before I moved on.
So it was good to connect yesterday. We both ordered grilled ham and cheese and spent several hours hanging out with and stomping around Harvard's campus with a couple of her friends. And as I was leaving -- to head home, and to leave them to their further Boston friend connecting and exploring -- I realized that if this girl lived in Boston... or I lived in DC... it would be a challenge indeed not to try to spend a lot of time with her.
I don't know what she and her friends did last night, and I don't know what they're up to today, but I wonder. And I think I need to catch her and see her one more time before she gets back on the plane to DC.
