It's been awhile since I've been here. Mike says he's designed a new icon for Penelope. And I turn 30 tomorrow. There's an invitation in the Boston group area if you'd like to gather for drinks and thinks.

This noon, I headed up to Copp's Hill, where I checked out Boston's second cemetery, visited Cotton Mather's grave, and tried to figure out where the great molasses flood of 1919 went. I also walked passed the narrowest house in Boston, all of 9.5 feet, which was built out of spite to block the view of a neighbor. Go figure.

My tatt is indeed Lenore wink

After meeting a crush at the aquarium yesterday, I'm now on a Boston exploration kick. Today's adventure: Mags Harries' sidewalk sculpture Asaroton. Punchline: It's not there anymore and is in storage because of the Big Dig. Bummer!

I had lunch with a friend visiting from Washington, DC, yesterday. We met back in October while I was in DC during my big road trip for work, and there's was some sort of connection. Zing. I invited her to go to a party with me, but my "friends" never let me know where the party was, so we ended up not connecting before I...

Thanks for the song - I still like that pic you sent me of you attempting to eat the microphone.

Just got a Sidekick hiptop, and I gotta tell you, the geek in me loves Googling on street corners, walking around taking pictures and emailing them to myself, and IM'ing in the elevators. Wow. This thing is rad. It's like the Net in your pocket.

Grr. Between work, and the blog, which blew up earlier this week, and working out all sorts of relationship weirdness with multiple people, and deadlines at work, and mixing the new record, and the holidays coming, and leaving for Wisconsin on Saturday, I feel like I'm letting all sorts of things slide. Slide away. Details get lost. People get forgotten. Fingers crossed that the 2K3...

Good Handstand Command birthday party and show last night! The girl I was dating came, which was slightly odd. I've never made someone cry in public before, but it just wasn't meant to be. Hard, hard. Party tomorrow at Bill, Jen, and Steph's new house. Will go with a long-time crush who's hella cute and literary. We'll see where that goes, eh?

Second to last day on this six-week, 3,000-mile project I've been working on. I head back to Boss Town on Tuesday. About time!
penelope:
Welcome home! Did you have a good time? Take lots of pictures?
Thank you for the birthday well wishing.

I was biting my nails an listening to Denali while driving to Reston, Virginia, and I chipped a tooth. I regularly have losing teeth dreams -- supposedly a sign that I fear poverty.

In exactly 24 hours, I'll be on a plane to Richmond, Virginia, to start my six-week, 18-city road trip. I feel like I'm in pretty good shape at this point. See y'all when I'm no longer mobile!
oninochuck:
in Richmond.. go to Plan 9 Music.. or at least carytown in general... hit Shockoe Slip and at nite.. attempt Shockoe Bottom, even though walking around The Fan is a little more entertaining then The Bottom..

In exactly six days I leave Boston for a six-week, 18-city, 1,750-mile road trip. Should be hella rad, but I'm also a tad nervous.
oninochuck:

Huh. Been focusing on the blog -- and a new girlfriend, who looks, eerily, like Penelope. Seems like SG presaged my tastes. Or vice versa. But regardless... mmm. Thanks, all, for whatever clarification I can credit to you.
