It's been awhile since I've been here. Mike says he's designed a new icon for Penelope. And I turn 30 tomorrow. There's an invitation in the Boston group area if you'd like to gather for drinks and thinks.

This noon, I headed up to Copp's Hill, where I checked out Boston's second cemetery, visited Cotton Mather's grave, and tried to figure out where the great molasses flood of 1919 went. I also walked passed the narrowest house in Boston, all of 9.5 feet, which was built out of spite to block the view of a neighbor. Go figure.

After meeting a crush at the <a href="http://www.cardhouse.com/heath/2003_01_19_archive.html#90213528">aquarium</a> yesterday, I'm now on a Boston exploration kick. Today's adventure: Mags Harries' sidewalk sculpture <a href="http://www.cardhouse.com/heath/2003_01_19_archive.html#90214372">Asaroton</a>. Punchline: It's not there anymore and is in storage because of the Big Dig. Bummer!

I had lunch with a friend visiting from Washington, DC, yesterday. We met back in October while I was in DC during my big road trip for work, and there's was some sort of connection. Zing. Just got a Sidekick hiptop, and I gotta tell you, the geek in me loves Googling on street corners, walking around taking pictures and emailing them to myself, and IM'ing in the elevators. Wow. This thing is rad. It's like the Net in your pocket.

Good Handstand Command birthday party and show last night! The girl I was dating came, which was slightly odd. I've never made someone cry in public before, but it just wasn't meant to be. Hard, hard. Party tomorrow at Bill, Jen, and Steph's new house. Will go with a long-time crush who's hella cute and literary. We'll see where that goes, eh?

Second to last day on this six-week, 3,000-mile project I've been working on. I head back to Boss Town on Tuesday. About time!

I was biting my nails an listening to Denali while driving to Reston, Virginia, and I chipped a tooth. I regularly have losing teeth dreams -- supposedly a sign that I fear poverty.

In exactly 24 hours, I'll be on a plane to Richmond, Virginia, to start my six-week, 18-city road trip. I feel like I'm in pretty good shape at this point. See y'all when I'm no longer mobile!

In exactly six days I leave Boston for a six-week, 18-city, 1,750-mile road trip. Should be hella rad, but I'm also a tad nervous.
