Due to popular demand -- how're you people finding me, anyway? -- here I am. Still at work, BoSox game on the telly, crunching on some last-minute Web work so a project goes live in time for people to check it out when we told them they could.

My goal lately is to be more boring. I can't keep going out like I have been...

Sometimes I wish I were a robot. Then I could just unplug and shut down like Rosie in the Jetsons. I wouldn't have to think, wouldn't have to do, wouldn't have to feel. I think I drink to shut down. And I think I sleep to unplug. Stops the static in my brain and the high-tension energy in my veins.

Lesson: If you've been outside drinking, playing bocce, and hanging out in the sun all day, you don't really need to end the night at a bar just because a friend is DJ'ing.

The world is pulling apart at the seams. A friend is pregnant. Another friend's baby was stillborn. Two recently married friends are separating. And just last night I learned that two other married friends are separating because one partner had an affair. What the heck is going on?

Spent much of the last four days with S., and this Frank Sinatra song keeps running through my head:

I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart, that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin

I've tried so not to give in

I try not to make a habit of urinating in public, but last night, walking up Mass. Ave. in the rain to the Scrapple show, I ducked behind a brick wall near the Harvard Law student housing to take a leak. Cars were streaming by, and I was nervous I wouldn't finish before the light changed. Yikes! Just goes to show, kids, always go before...

Beautiful spring today. Read Michael Flynn's "In the Country of the Blind" in a park. Watched a 14-year-old white dog mosey around the basketball courts.

Interesting days, these. Some new clarity with a "friend with priveleges" bodes well for our friendship (even though the priveleges have fallen away), and it looks like I'm on a reconciliation track with an ex-girlfriend who I can't purge from...

I got kicked out because of an iBill snafu, and Spooky, O, and LE were all hella responsive and helpful to get me back in the mix. I'm sure they had better things to do today, but I sure appreciate their attention. SG rocks!

yay, glad you made it back in!
