Kill Girl Kill: Meow.

Met transplanted Austin friends Rick and Melissa for drinks at a bar not far from Marble Hill on the way home. Then caught the 1 and crosstown bus to the upper east side for Mexican food on the sidewalk with dog Dudley. Talked to my sister while walking back to the subway to head home. A nice route back to Brooklyn!

I know Dodgeball messages are supposed to pull you somewhere, but I really wish people would give me a head's up when they come to my neighborhood. Take note.

I'm having a saddish, slow day today. Stayed up too late last night and then slept in too late this morning, so I'm "working from home." I'm not very good at working from home. Too many distractions -- and today, too warm!

Holy cow, the Smothers Brothers are awesome.

A beautiful day in Brooklyn. Self-installed high-speed Net access at home this morning and am now poking around with college football on the TV. Is fall really coming so soon?

Along the Hudson River in Irvington, New York today. A new workplace, new coworkers, and tons of exciting new ideas. All on the edge of water and a large park. I'll even be taking the commuter rail north out of Grand Central most days... Should be quite a ride.

In New Orleans for a media conference. Dinner at Galatoire's -- amazing oysters Rockefeller and crabmeat garnish -- a cigar with one of my bosses walking through the French Quarter, and coffee at Cafe du Monde. A wonderful walk along the river, too. Got scammed by a shoeshine guy -- a first!
