Such a good weekend - well aside from nearly cutting off a finger with a saw - turns out that birthday parties for pets can be out of control after all smile Met a bunch of new girls from the west end, and it was so excellent seeing the few uptight suburbanites start squirming when the girls held hands. And a campfire, what more can a...

There's been a claim but it's not verified, looks a bit bogus from what I've heard.
And yes! Pro Tools etc.
xixi:
hehe awesome, freaking out the norms!

Ahh Canada Day long weekend time to roll out the BBQ, crack a cold one and twist one up biggrin Oh and celebrate the sweet Troggs birthday of course! surreal
madscience:
I'm such a dumb american . . . blush (but wanting to learn) . . . What's Canada Day? Is it pure coincidence that it's the same weekend as our independence day? Do you do fireworks, too?

I really think we need to bring back 'wicked' and 'deadly'! Come on everyone, starting today... we can make it happen.

Speaking of which, deadly office party last night - live jazz w/ a gorgeous SGish singer, two tuxedo'd bartenders serving up free drinks all night, and waitresses serving up strange offerings on silver platters - asparagus & smoke salmon wraps, garlic curry prawns. Ridiculous....

wow - I just checked out Kathleen Edwards and she is wicked! wink She's playing Portland next month- I definately go see her.

Did you listen to Jesse Sykes?

madscience:
Sorry, I gotta see your palm in person. All of the lines wouldn't show up in a pic.

I'm pretty much a veteran internet dater. Let's see, I've done lavalife, match, yahoo, craigslist, and the spring street personals (a lot of websites feed into that one, like nerve.com, onion.com, my local weekly artsy paper, etc), plus friendster. I've had okay experiences, dated a few guys for a while, but I wouldn't call it great or anything! whatever robot

Sunny and warm, what more can a boy ask for!! Bring on the summer biggrin

For those following the fish saga, the tank water is again crystal clear and Terence seems to recognize me when I go in the room smile Starts bouncing around the tank and getting all worked up - I hope its cause I feed him... eeek
phia:
Yes, I've already dubbed this week "PhiaFest05"...the party don't stop 'til next Monday! Except for sleep. smile
Good to hear Terence is rocking out to that clean tank!
madscience:
Plus a baby board for his lil girl! She's 15 months, and my bro has already been taking her into the ocean to get her used to the water and waves. She absolutely loves it, so I think we've got a future surfer girl . . . biggrin

I'm sure Terence recognizes you . . . or maybe any human. Does he get all worked up when other people come in the room or is it just for you? Glad to hear his home is fresh & clean. smile

Such a good band practice last night, after a wee bit of tension with our lead singer (typical), all is back on track. Banged out an intense cover of Radioheads song Airbag that had us all reminded of why we play music in the first place. When everyone seems to be communicating and the sum is greater than the four parts I just love that...

That's a lot of dogs! eeek wink Why all the "special needs" dogs (deaf, dumb)?

Hmm, maybe Terence needs one of those bubbly thingies (thingy's?) in his aquarium? I dunno.

My parents live ~30 minutes from the beach, so I'll get there most days this week. biggrin
phia:
Yes, Terence needs a water filter! It helps with getting his poop out of the water.

A new fish! biggrin biggrin How does he like his new home? Do you have any other pets? I have 2 house rabbits who are litter trained and hop around the house, Tucker & Rosie.
etown:
Awesome. Pets are great. I'm still looking for the right PacMan frog to bring into my family.

I'm coming to Vancouver this summer, we should do some riding while I'm out there.

I'm officially old today! I'll be attending a birthday party for a friends pet. smile
madscience:
Nah, old is just a state of mind. You don't have to be old if you don't want to. wink

SG Geezers are cool. I'm currently living in a town that doesn't have a lot of cool geezers, so I'm trying to find them wherever I can!

The OC, huh? See, you're not old! wink
