Nothing particularly new to say, work week and all - I was thinking this morning how the daily routine of being rudely awoken from a dark sleep by news radio voices is really wearing thin...

Shower: washing hair & face, left arm then right arm, torso and the boys, left leg, right leg, rinse, dry - quick check to see if I can avoid shaving...

Survived the blender madness tongue

Great dive tonight, the water is crazy warm and lots of life down there = even thought they're pretty harmless the mud sharks we're wiggin' me out. Could be that I was freediving alone (broken rule 1) and was miles away from anyone including my car (broken rule 2) whatever

Survived though and the best part was laying naked on the beach...

Thinking of getting a welsh dragon tattoo in memory of my grandfolks - I'm feeling like that part of my heritage is lost now and I'm missing the scones, welsh cakes, fry-ups - not missing the mushy vegetables though, never could figure that out smile

Crunch time on the thesis, so not much interwebin' for the next while whatever

Tomorrow night's blender drink night though skull

bassgirl:
that a nice idea, do you have some examples of welsh dragons?

scones are delicious, but mushy vegetables? wink

good luck on working on your thesis!
but first enjoy your night out so you can start with a clear head wink

Went for a great late night swim with friends in the ocean - total darkness and really warm. Most people even in this metropolitan town of Vancouver probably wouldn't know that the water temperature in some of our bays in August are like Hawaii. Something about having your eyes wide open under water staring down into the darkness...

Today it's time to do school work...

Its funny, when I first got back into the dating arena, I wanted to get this guy back to my place, but I could not figure out what to say to him! Then it occurred to me, duh, just ask him if he wants to come back to my place! Short, sweet, to the point. It takes much more effort to beat around the bush, and what if he doesnt get what Im trying to say?!

In some ways, dating is a lot easier now. In other ways, not so much (as evidenced by many of my journal entries) . . .

Bald eagle aren't really anywhere near the top of my list of favorite birds...but I enjoy the feeling that life will find a way - even while we humans do our best to destroy it at times.

Did you read the article about why the water along the coast this year is so warm?

Yaaa, the weekend eeek
I am so enjoying this fine bottle 'o wine...
Tomorrow I'm going freediving - gonna try for 60 feet... I know that's lame in the world of freediving, but the water here is frickin' cold and dark - and everytime I see weird creatures I panic and head for the surface.
I swear I'm still high from playing our last gig -...

and maybe it will give you the motivation to really start working on your thesis biggrin hehe
it's sounds like something important to work on.
bassgirl:
i never went under water, unless for a occasional recreational swim, but nothing spectacular...

doing it outside is always nice, i prefer a nice countryside smile

but last new years i started out at the bar me and boyfriend were in and we ended up in some ally with drunk people walking past us at very close distance. that was kinda enteraining too wink

Played a great show last night at a mansion. First gig next to a pool full of boys and girls cavorting smile Great sound, nothing like a good monitor mix, everyone played real tight.

So far behind finishing my thesis - fuck!! I want it to end soon to get my life back... frown AMD's been away for over a week - it's strange how for the...

So, what's your thesis about?

And yes, Vancouver is quite a long way from the lovely little town of Biddinghuizen, where the festival is and the Pixies are performing
wink

Chet Bakes is great, by the way! I really love his almost feminine voice.
I recently read his biografy, how somebody who can make such beautiful music can be such a nasty person wink

good luck with the thesis smile

I keep having this weird dream where I step out the front door of my place and the lawn AND soil beneath is gone exposing this cavernous opening with huge gothic stone colums and a calm flowing subterranean river that's flowing from beneath my house frown Very dark vibe, wish I knew what the hell it meant - or could it be just random synapses firing......

Sunday night and Im just a wee bit buzzed pear coolers if you must know! Hot and sunny so I went for a couple kilometre swim. I wish I had my pole spear cause we all could have been eating halibut like mad this eve. I swam down about 20 feet and grabbed a 30 pounder by the tail they really arent smart fish. Slippery...

Sounds fabulous.

That story about your parents is still cracking me up. I can see the discussion at Starbucks is it what I think it is? Yes, I think it is. What should we do with it? (Im wondering why didnt they give it to the cashier or manager or something?) And then when they got home, now what do we do with it? And instead of asking the kids, who might have an idea about that (son, should we just flush this down the toilet? Sure dad, Ill take care of it for you wink ), they decide to LABEL it and stick it in the freezer. And THEN your dad decides to start spicing up his muffins with it. Too funny. biggrin biggrin

As I looked into my cut open hand a few days ago I was thinking about how fucking fragile we are, I mean, not the mind - cause we can get through all crazy kinds of fucked up-edness like people dying, people lying, people just being weak and/or evil, but physically... we're pretty poorly built from an engineering perspective. Pfizer oughta make like Viag-zac to...

Sorry to hear about the cut hand.

Hey guess what? I met the owner of .243 this weekend at an NSMB event up in Silver Star. Seems like a pretty cool guy.

I'm in town till Friday (going to Whistler) if you feel like hitting up a street ride. Just e-mail me. e-town@linuxmail.org
