Well there has been a lot of ups and downs happening at the zoo. Our sea lion died last week of old age. She was 31 years old which is amazing for a sea lion in captivity. In the wild they live to be 15-20 years.

We are all missing our super star. The zoo will never be the same without her.


On a happier note. I am doing really well with the vervet monekys.

My training sessions with them have been going great.

And I`ve fallen in love with Hollywood, the blue fronted amazon.He`s the cutest bird I`ve ever met.


I wish I had something else to talk about but the zoo is my life. They keep you very busy. You get graded on everything, from classes in the classroom to being out on the zoo with the animals.

I`m hoping to get a set going here soon but it`s been hard finding a photographer. I had a few bites, but they ended up having to take care of something else. I`m still looking so hopefully I find someone to shoot with soon. I have some cool ideas that I really want to do!!!!
