ok, so I was just reflecting on that big [s]HIT documentary "The March of the Penguins" and it struck me that it's a fucking movie about penguins! there's love, there's loss, there are tears, blood, frostbite.. drama, comedy, horror... why, it's everything you ever wanted in a movie!!!! it definitely sucked me in! but it's a movie about penguins! PENGUINS!!! WTF?! Why not elephants? why not snakes? why not buffalo? or, hmm, say, humans?
I seriously think humans are bored with watching humans... same old, same old. But watch penguins making love and it's a whole new world of cinema! Animal porn! thousands of people watched 2 penguins hump... I felt dirty. my son was mystified. Apparently you add Morgan Freeman's voice to anything and it will be nominated for an Academy Award. nice.
