today I am walking inside my head
a lovely little stroll...
observing every little thing so very closely
black, crimson, white and gold
are the colors of my breath today

have you ever heard your own heartbeat inside your ear?
it sort of swells under your eardrum and then pulls inward for release, only to swell again and push out through your drum, but it is defeated in its efforts to escape. so back in it goes, and continues trying ... to ... get ... out...
