Dream A Dream

speak of change and the impossible
rip open my soul
and the maggots of truth
they pour on out
wiggle, squirm, invade
psyche overwhelmed with the decay
dream a dream
watch it float on by
reach for the tail end of someday
violated by naked reality
within the joys of gravidity
grows the seed of defeat
evil incarnate
abuse through gestation
and yet I let it penetrate
percolate
permeate my being with desire
a desire not for the broken
and the hole opens wide
burning with nothingness
satiate with anything and everything
blood, pain, voracity
carnal deviations of sight
darkness grows
until we know nothing of the light
