Ugg so I've made it back home...and right now it is way to early for me to be up but I can't sleep. So let me try to recap shall I?
After graduation and packing and moving back home I went to Long Island with my Dad for Carl's graduation from BOTC 109 from NOAA. I got to meet old college friends of his who are really nice and I liked them a lot. Then we headed home and after dinner with my parents went and played in L.L. Bean for a bit. The next morning Carl packed up all of his stuff and put it in his car. Its amazing all his stuff will fit in the trunk and backseat of a Jetta without blocking the rear window. I can't even manage to get all my stuff in an SUV AND my car...I'm pathetic....
So they we had Carl and I's graduation party at my place and then went to see X3 with the gang and picked up Pat on the way. It was good to see him again and he seems to be doing well.
The next morning we started our 2 day driving extravaganza to Colorado. We saw so much roadkill it was silly. 26 dead deer. Not joking...and a billboard in Kansas or Missouri that said TESTICLE FESTIVAL....not kidding...you can even look it up online...ick...apperently Eden is also in Kansas though I think its just wishful thinking on their part. There was a beautiful lightning storm out on the parire too.
We finally get to Colorado really late Monday night while everyone is asleep. The next day is getting to see everyone, meet everyone and play with puppies. We were at his grandmothers house in Denver so I met her, Carl's mother and brother and his brothers best friend. Unfortunatly his dad couldn't come up. I also go to meet Whinny, his grandmothers new puppy daucsaund, Cricket his mothers toy poodle and Oscar his dads daucsaund. Oscar is the best dog ever. Hes a mini so hes perfect lap size and he will just curl up on you and sleep for hours. He even slept with me for two nights. I really liked the family too, I got along great with his mom.
So the first day was just bumming around and driving up to Boulder to meet his Uncle who has climed Everst twice....man is crazy. Hes really nice though and has a great house and cool dogs.
The next day Carl and I went horse back riding which was werid with a western saddle. It was fun though since it was just the two of us and the tour guides. Carl finishing his organizing of his stuff while I napped and then we went and hiked in Roxbourough state park. I love the Iron rock fomations out there (and for the lift of me I can't remember what they are called.....). So pretty. Strange how dry it is and how thin the air is. Parire dogs are so cute!!!
The day after we went to his great aunt and uncles house which was .....interesting. They are quite old but still have a sheep farm and are both a bit...eccentric to say the least. I mean they let a chicken live in their kitchen. but I'm just not a huge fan of birds. Then another nap and headed to the airport.
Carl's flight left at 8pm and mine at 11pm but I couldn't wait with him at the terminal because the JetBlue counter didn't open until 9pm and I had to check a bag...grrr. So I check it and get to the terminal....and I'm informed theres a massive thunderstorm over NYC where our plane is coming from and thus it can't take off. All in all instead of leaving at 11pm we left around 230 or 3 am.....I spend two hours sleeping on the floor of the teminal and one of those hours using the 700 page hard back book Knife of Dreams as a pillow since I had to use my sweatshirt as a blanket because I was cold (sorry Pat!) Get to logan grab a bus to portsmouth have my parents pick me up and head home..finaly.
the last few days have been finishing above stated book and just sleeping and relaxing. I guess I got a little carried away on the relaxing bit yesturday though. I was hungery but too lazy to get out of bed (since I now I have wireless in my house I am sitting in my bed typing this....) so around 530 I started to feel like I was going to throw up for some reason so I go to the bathroom. I just start feeling bizzar and of course I decide walking will help. I get up, take about two steps, haven't even gotten my pants tied, and PASS OUT on the bathroom floor. Luckily my dad was home so he came up and took care of me. Now my right shoulder is scraped and bruised because thats were I fell, my right eye brow is brusied cause my head bounced off the floor, I have a bruise on my right hip...ok all that makes sense....now could anyone tell me why my LEFT lower and back ribs hurt like hell....I'm talking its hard to sleep can barely move it hurts when I take a deep breath hurt. Frigging annoying.
So now I have all this cleaning and organizing to do and I can barely move. Oh well more sloth time.
