In 3 months, I will be married.
In 6 months, I will get to experience Yosemite and Grand Teton.
In 7 months, I will no longer be a Floridian.
In 12 months, I will have a completely different life.
It's looking more and more likely that my girlfriend and I will be high tailing it out of this dick shaped, hell hole of death state in the next 14 months. We've lived here our entire lives. I don't think we've ever been this nervous and excited all at once.
On Monday, Jan 27, the State of Florida Supreme Court approved the wording for the ballot to allow Floridians to vote for medicinal marijuana by a vote of 4-3. Keep an eye out in November. Fingers crossed Florida becomes the first state in the Southeast to approve of this use.
About 30 minutes ago, it was confirmed that United We Care obtained 710,00 valid petitions in order to get the vote for medicinal marijuana on the Florida ballot this upcoming November election. I'd like to take this moment to say: Go Broncos! And if they lose the Super Bowl, well, at least we won't have to worry about anyone rioting in the streets of Denver because they'll all just smoke a fattie and move on.
While the rest of the country is getting a reprieve from heat waves, Florida, as usual, is stuck in perpetual Summer. It'd be nice to get a cool down for more than a day or two. Yeah, true, it's not 95 degrees with 100% humidity, but I should also be able to open windows and not run the A/C.

You'd think living down here your whole life, you'd get used to it. Guess it's along the same line as why snowbirds get sick of the cold.
As much as I'm anticipating the end of my first semester back in 12 years, at least I'll be able to end it feeling accomplished and not like a slacker. But, holy fuck it's exhausting.
Is it just me, or does this site seem to have a lot of technical difficulties?
