As John Connor once said in a message from the future, The future is not set... There is no such thing as Fate, but what we make for ourselves by our own will. You must be stronger than you imagine you can be. You must survive, or I will never exist.

A quote from my Russian Literature paper, comparing Russian Existentialist writers with other existentialist, both from different times, and from different places.

The weather today was PERFECT for riding the bike. So I did. In fact, I've been riding it all over the place for a week or two. It makes the commute to school much better. And today I painted it all army green colored. Of course, the army green wouldn't be good without some goofy texture, so I got a can of spray-on truck bed liner. And undercoated it with that. Now I have a bumpy rubbery olive drab bike. And it rocks.

I got a drawing and a sculpture into the awards show at the school. They both got accepted to the show, too. Actually, the drawing is that one I am using for my pic here. So the opening and award ceremony is coming up soon, and I have a chance to win a prize... Of course, there's no telling what will happen at this show, since it is open to grad students as well. But I took first prize at the last show, so I guess there's still hope.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the drawing, I won a $500 purchase prize. I also won the top prize in sculpture. I am not sure how much that prize is worth, yet. But I did well. Hooray.
