Happy new year to all you smurfs and smurfettes.
The bad news is this.... I didn't get a new welder.
But the good news is this... I got pretty much everything I needed in the whole wide world. Except a diploma, which should be coming in another couple of months.
I did get a used welder that can use gas, but it has some electrical gremlin. I think fixing it would be cheaper than buying a new welder, so that's good.
I did get a new computer. It has no floppy drive. What's that all about?
I went on a trip through several states, and picked up a stack of records from about 12 different thrift stores. Hooray for radio show fodder.
I also got to see all the little baby sisters and brothers, and the dad, stepmom, uncle, cousin, brother, sister-in-law, nephews, etc.
I don't know what my new year's resolution will be this year. But last year it was to not answer call waiting, and not answer my cell phone if I was in the middle of something else. After all, that's what voicemail is for.
For those of you who wonder why I don't winterize my bike.... A few days ago, it was 9 degrees outside. Today it will be in the 60s, I think. So I'll be taking the bike out for some errands.
