Ok, so here's the story...... I was friends with this girl back in high school. We recently got back in touch, and she's all like "We should hang out sometime!"
Of course, I agreed.
So I asked her to accompany me to a show I helped paint the set for. She accepted, and said "Yeay! A date! I haven't been on a date in a long time."
I said "Yeah, it's been a long time for me too."
So we go on the date. I was so nervous, I didn't know what to do with myself. Every time I thought things were going well, I would get some little signal that made me think twice. At the end of the date, I walked her to her door, thanked her for coming out to see the show with me. I looked at her, she looked at me, and out of her mouth came the thoughts from my own head. "Well, this is awkward!"
After a statement like that, I wasn't going to try for a good night kiss. Besides.... I don't kiss on the first date. HA!
So she says "We should definitely hang out next weekend. Definitely. Call me, and we'll make plans."
I called Tuesday, left a message. I called Wednesday, her dad hung up on me. Called her cell phone (that she never uses) and left a message. I called Friday, her mom said she was asleep, but she would relay the message that I called.
So I called a total of 4 times, never talked to her. It is now Saturday night and I haven't heard from her.
I would like to think that she never got any of the messages, so she might not know that I even called.... But there is this nagging suspicion that she is just ignoring me.
I guess this is where I give you all the background info.... My first girlfriend was an abusive ass who cheated on me. The second was a needy cute buy-me-everything type. She cheated on me after 6 and a half years. We broke up over 2 years ago and I haven't dated since. Until this one. So that might help you figure out why I am so confused about what is going on with this new one. I just don't know anything about women. (I know.... I'm a guy, I am not supposed to understand...)
Anyone have any advice?
Maybe I'll ask the advice people......
Have a nice day, y'all.
