Work work work work.
Hooray for money. Too bad I have to work for it.
I'm riding my motorcycle back and forth to work, and every day, someone in a car or SUV tries to run my ass over. I know it is just because I am less visible than the cars they are looking for. I don't take it personally. But still.... It's kinda sucky to be run off the road.
Last night I was with my friend who has ridden on the back of my bike many many times. She hears all of my horror stories about being nearly run off into the shoulder before. She knows how easy it is for people to not see the bike when they change lanes. She has even been with me during one of the near misses.
And last night we were out riding in her car. She changed lanes without checking her blind spot. That's where the guy on the bike was. She almost creamed him. Luckily, I was checking out his bike, so I knew he was there. I alerted my friend.
My point is.... PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR MOTORCYCLES!!!!! They might be right next to you and you wouldn't know it. Between my quiet exhaust, and the wind blowing past us at 50 miles per hour and your window is up, the air conditioner is on, you are rocking out to your favorite song on the radio, your cell phone is ringing, and your friends in the backseat are acting like manpanzees.... You have to use all of your mirrors and CHECK YOUR BLIND SPOT!!!!!!!!
Save a life. It might be mine.
Thank you.
