I madea friend. He lives in my apartment complex. Apparently he knows Robin from school. He's a composer, so maybe I can get him to help me with a musical I want to write. I'm telling you guys, this dude is the next Danny Elfman. He just wrote a sonata that's very noir. He describes it as neo-romantic. It's a 2-piece: clarinet and piano. With a cadenza therein. And, it's a half cadenza, to let the clarinet improvize the other half. Crazy shit, huh?

I'm still working away at my new psycho material. It's so fucking hard when no one wants to jam. Like, I'll come up with something that *might* sound good, but not right, and then I'll have to make it better. Well, I'm starting to realize that the reason I'm not pleased with the initial product, is because I'm only hearing the guitar; there are no other instruments to fill the sound out. So when I take the "better" product to jam with someone, it sounds to overdone. It's kind of hard to explain, but the point is that I need someone, a bassist, a guitarist, a drummer - anyone- to help me out or give me ideas. I would go to my composer friend, but he'd probably just look at me and laugh at my not-so-classical training.

Writing music alone is like drinking alone. Woe, is me.
