"Problems should be solved by the ones who see them."

I love this for two reasons: Firstly, if everybody would live by this, we'd have a better world. There is just so much of this stupid "Why should I, this is not my problem" around. The great Douglas Adams called them SEPs by the way.

Secondly, I got it out of my favourite novel of all times (and I'm 48, so that means something). It's Stephen Donaldsons "Mordant's Need." I must have read this 5 times by now and it never got boring. Such a great story. Anybody who likes good Fantasy should read this.
