Sorry I haven't been on much, I've been spending some time reflecting. I've decided starting next spring, I'm going to quit my job and go abroad! I plan to be gone 6 months to 2 years (or more if I like it!) I'm looking into working at hostels throughout Europe. Has anyone done this before? I need all the tips I can get, like what kind of paper work I need, should I secure a position ahead of time or is it easier to find something once I'm there. What are your favorite cities? Where do I have to go and what do I need to see?
I will have around $10,000 saved before I go, but I would like to use as little of that money as possible. If I'm working at hostels I will have a place to stay (and possibly a small stipend). I'd like to use modeling to generate more income, through prints and possibly an online store and obviously shoots. Do any other SGs have tips for shooting abroad in a country you don't speak the language? What about selling merch abroad? Any other ideas on generating income?
I'm thinking about bringing my LED hoop and putting out a hat in crowded areas at night and trying to get some income that way. Any hoopers have tips for traveling with hoops? I would like to bring 3, my LED, a heavy practice hoop, and a lightweight practice hoop. They're just so bulky!
Any other tips, advice, or ideas would be much appreciated!
