I really went nuts with the outdoorsey type stuff today! I ran around with the limb lopper (it's a saw on the end of a long stick) trimming trees, dragging the tree limbs into a pile to be burned later, I serviced the lawn tractor then mowed a couple acres, then more limb dragging.

I finally managed get in touch with an old bandmate who lived in New Orleans. He's holed up in a motel in Houston, he got out with his family on Saturday. His home and buisness are undoubtedly washed away or looted.

He managed to bring a few guitars with him, good man!

I'm kicking back, just hangin' like wet clothes. I've been pretty sick, and it's still kicking my ass, but I've felt a little stronger lately.

I have no idea when I'll return to Texas, I've made no plans. I'm coasting in neutral right now, just sleeping and eating and reading Carson McCullers.
