is there anything you can do to make it not so painful

You are pretty much a renaissance man in the DIY realm then, eh?

The bike looks great. The bars look kinda funny to me though, they look so low now.

That's a big-ass spider. Glad you left it alone.

nah, more of the white boy 'fro. his hair grows out, not down. he has since come to realize that keeping his hair really short is the best way to go.

Amazing advice...If you have to have a knob...make it good looking! eeek

Laying out the whole schematics...Sick! I have a blueprint at work that a patient gave me...maybe you can do something with it too. Now first, remember where I work...the blueprint is for a teleportation device! sweet!

How's your weekend going? Not terrible here.

Last night I took my amp to my buddy's house, he knows guitars and amps so I was eager to get his opinion.

The amp shit the bed and I fucked up my shoulder carrying the big son of a bitch to and from the car! Hahahaha! My buddy played through my amp for probably half an hour...

Cool...you're rebuilding of amps and guitars is similar to my rebuilding of classic bikes...I just finished on my early 90s Bianchi road bicycle...it was my baby beauty that I rode and raced with when I was racing every weekend and on weekdays...back when life was a bit mroe fun at times without a full time job! I am restoring it to it's original vigor that I enjoyed so very much when I first started racing. It is so satisfying to finish up a project...then look onward to the next step!

And yeah...that rose isn't bad at all actually!
the_deacon:
Yeah...no kidding...my parents are still together after 38-39 or so years...they shoulda seperated ages ago the way they scrap verbally! haha. I look now and wonder...My dad was sick with cancer in 1993..in fact. He got sick and it was diagnosed on labor day of that year. He had his left lung removed and survived without difficulty...very rare! I look back and see where my mom could survive well without him because she does well overall...I, on the other hand, can't see my dad doing well without my mom. He is self sufficient enough to survive without difficulties...you're talking about a man who was drafted and survived the vietnam era, a fight with cancer, and is generally damn tough. But mentally...no matter how mad I see him get and cranky he is all the time. I can't see him going on without my mom. Strange relationship there! haha.

Then there is me...single and unmarried...never been married...no kids and 36. and too many women problems to mention at this time! haha.

So what moto projects are you working on? any? My cousin wants to start messing with a Bobber and has asked me to help since I have torn down and rebuilt my VFR and he thinks I know what I am doing...imagine that! Me, I want to get my hands on my mom's scoot and ride it! what I really want is a scrambler to play around with...

I'm so disappointed in myself.
jamielee:
Well, it was about 20' long, and the choice of vehicles for transport was a Scion tC and a 1969 VW Beetle. So we didn't think we could pull it off. Maybe if we had a flatbed truck...but the memory is enough for me. smile
