I just watched Sicko, and I'm madder than a motherfucker. I really hope that the Bush administration hasn't fucked us for good, that the Obama administration can pull us out of this downward spiral and maybe even improve things. We're supposedly the greatest nation on the planet, right? How come we treat our people like shit?

In other news...

Long time readers will recall that I got this tank a few years back and found a whoooooole lot of Bondo and rust. I stripped it down to bare metal and replaced the Bondo and repainted it, then had a problem with rust, then developed leaks which caused blisters in the paint. This is how I found out that my paint was fuel-proof, since the blisters held the gas in and didn't melt.



Spring is coming, it's time to do something about this problem:

I might regret pulling that tab, the welds holding it on seem to have been the strongest part of the whole tank. I'll plug those holes with some big pop rivets, give the epoxy something to grab onto.

Scuffed:



I'll plug the holes with some rivets, then fill that channel with JB Weld, clean the inside and give it a Kreem plastic lining in the next few days, then replace the Bondo and paint.
