I'm a little better today. I've been awake for about an hour and I can already tell a difference from this time yesterday.

It's hard to keep a sense of perspective about this stuff. While experiencing the headache, nausea, exhaustion and diarrhea it's hard to remember why I go through it. I go once a month and get this experimental medication which knocks me on my ass for a few days, but once the side effects wear off I feel pretty good for several weeks, and the arthritis only starts to rrrreally hurt in the last few days before I get the next infusion. The first couple days after I get it, though, are pretty rough...

I got transformers yesterday! Work can now proceed on the custom guitar amp that I'm building for my buddy from music school.



I have (hopefully) all the components I need to make the actual amplifier part, but I still need to buy the wood to build the cabinet to house the chassis and speaker. I'm going to use western red cedar, the same stuff that classical guitar tops are made from. It's lighter and resonates at a lower frequency than pine, which should give the amp a nice oomph.
