I've been at this all day, and the responses I've gotten back from various amp guys around the internet and the word I hear mostly is that I just need to get better at reading schematics in order to do this. I pose a simple fucking question and all I get in return is condescension, no real help.
why not just read the schematic and determine what you want?
You really need to learn to read schematics to do this stuff.
Like I have no business doing this sort of thing and the last month's work has all been a waste.
This brings out all my insecurities, suddenly I'm back in 7th grade and I can't do my goddamn fucking math homework because it doesn't make any sense to me! Yes, I have some learning disabilities. I can't do algebra for one thing, which is why I have enough hours for a masters degree but without the math requirement I have no degree, just a defaulted $40,000 student loan.
So I decided to get away from the problem for a while and go finish the mowing I started yesterday... and the tractor won't start, it doesn't even try. I checked the battery, and that's not the problem. I checked the fuses, and they're fine. The idiot lights come on, but that's it. I stood out there until it got dark, so I dragged a light out of the garage and continued working until the cloud of bugs that were attracted to the light started to attack me.
I feel pretty worthless right now. I'm a big fat idiot, good for nothing.
