Hey, guess what I got in the mail today!

You're looking at $175.
Visited my aunt in the hospital today, she's looking a LOT better! Thanks for your well wishes, guys!
I thought that I'd have this amp up and running the same day that the parts arrived, but I didn't count on them being all jumbled together, so I started sorting them out. It was made all the more difficult by the fact that these new resistors I got use a different color code and the colors are hard to see anyway, so I had to go through and measure most of them to figure out what value they are.
Eventually, though I got it all sorted out, everything it's own drawer with a spanking new label for each value of resistor and capacitor...
Thrilling, I know...

Then I started looking at my circuit board and all the odd combinations of parts that I'd had to kluge together and all the stuff I wanted to change... and I stripped it:

All that work I did before? That was just practice.

There were eight eyelets on the board because I ran out of turrets. Funny thing is, a turret will fit into an eyelet, so that's what I did:

Okay, back to your normal, interesting lives...
PS. I just watched Little Miss Sunshine and my heart is now warmed...

i will come back and read your journal a little later.
Why were they all jumbled together like that?
I love that movie so much, I own it and I think I may watch it again soon.
