An old friend visited me this last weekend. He was pretty concerned about me when he left, so we just had a big long conversation on the phone a minute ago. He made the observation that I should let that girl go, that this ain't healthy.
Ya don't say...
He and I are a lot alike in some ways, and we have a kind of...

I didn't get sand in my crack, but I definitely did a few things to hers.

That is a pictorial representation of Courtney--- not Bryan, ya big goof. Well, off to fall off a mountain now.

I worked a show at Gruene Hall last Thursday. We had a good crowd, the PA system behaved almost as I wanted it to, all in all a good show. I knew that some friends of mine from Levelland would be down the road playing a show at the bar where my ex-girlfriend works. So I got the band loaded out chopchop and went down...

Spent the last two days working on my bike.

puke

I had pulled another, cleaner wiring harness from a very similar bike, along with the instrument cluster, handlebar switches, battery box and most all of the electrical bits. When I finally got around to putting it on my bike, a bunch of the plugs were different and the wiring wouldn't interface.

In short, the patient rejected...

No, sweetie, it's a bike (motorcycle) IN a basket.
Several baskets, actually...
lindy:
I don't get it? how can you ride this supposed "motorcycle" if it is in baskets? My suggestion: put wheels on the baskets!

Howdy! It's a Silvertone. The action is from hell. The neck seems to be coming off the body. I think it would be a great guitar for Ry Cooder. Hell, if you wanna look at it, you are more than welcome to take a stab at it. I could see where it might be mistaken as a Kay, cuz it almost has that Kelvinator headstock. It's a cool guitar. I'd really like to meet up with you soon, if anything just to talk about guitars and whatnot. Hope your weekend is off to a good start. Let's talk soon!

Went to a party at some friends' house last night in Dripping Springs. It must have been fun, because I didn't leave there until 1:00 this afteroon and I still feel like shit!
Thanks to the UT cheerleaders and Hooters girls who came out and helped beautify the proceedings. I wouldn't think I'd like people with those job descriptions, but they're cooler than I thought...

Hi there. Hows it going?
I gots a question for you, but first here is some background info: Last month the SG TX group went tubbing on the Guadalupe river, and the next day my bf and I spent the day in Gruene. We had an excellent time there, and we want to go back sometime. So my question is, if we do go back this summer is there anything we must absolutly do while we are down there?
guitargeek:
You've got the basics. Make sure you go to Gruene Hall, drink and watch a band. Maybe stop by River Road Icehouse, drink and watch a band. If you have time, maybe go to Taverne In The Gruene, drink and watch a band.

Hmmm, what's new...
I've been working on some more guitars lately, feels good to get back into it. I also have a new gig, road managing for a different band. Really enjoying it, too!
Blah blah blah.

Finally got innernut connected two months after moving. In the interim I've been reading a lot of good books: House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III; Black Tickets by Jayne Anne Phillips; Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt (growing up poor & Irish, something I can identify with); currently re-reading On The Road by Jack Kerouac.

I've also been working on my new place....
