Anybody else have a shitty weekend? Who's having a shitty time right now?

So I've been trying to swap the fork on my motorcycle in favor of a shorter one to improve the handling. I've been beating my head against this for some time, trying to get all the parts to match up.

I received what I thought were the last parts I need on...

Sometimes it's hard to keep my chin up, ya know? I've got a lot to be down about right now, and it's going to get worse before it gets better.

Ever feel like you're alone, like everybody you've ever looked up to or loved has turned their back on you?

I'm so tired of all this.
bonneville:
go ride your bike somewhere and make some new friends........or get a dog, they will never turn on you biggrin
deathtoforls:
some days, when it feels that way, ya gotta call your mom...or your best friend...and then somedays, you gotta get on your bike and ride until you cant ride no more...fuck people, you'll always have yourself. You came into this world alone, you'll leave alone, and the people that fill the interim are simply a bonus...but yeah, days like that suck, and I'm sorry you had one. Have a beer and know you're loved by your SG friends! smile

I had the most interesting conversation with my ::ahem:: girlfriend.

Seems she's been sick. Her parents took her to the ER for bronchitis and it is fobidden that I see her until she's phlegm-free.

Stay tuned...

In other news, I cleaned up my loft today. I use it for storage because I'm sure not setting up my waterbed up there. My next door neighbor /...

I think I'm going to ride out to that gal's house this evening, just to satisfy my own curiosity. If she doesn't want to see me or talk to me, that's fine and I'll leave, I just want to know that she's okay and didn't get into a wreck or something...

Okay, not quite so bummed out now, but still not out of the woods.

I rode up to Austin this weekend to meet up with a gal I dated once about six months ago. We met @ Stubb's to watch Rev. Heat & The Supersuckers. Everything was going great until I couldn't buy her beer due to my fucking poverty and off she went with...

No, I haven't played that one yet, but I'll probably try to when I go home today.

Yesterday's Adventure

So I rode up to my buddy's shop yesterday to look at some brake calipers and see if any of them will work for my GPz 750 fork (none would). We shot the shit for a while, I took one of his customers for a ride around the block on my bike (20 years old, redhead, cute as a button and this was...

My mom and I exchanged several emails today. In her last one she said, "Tell me about the woman in your life."

I wrote her back and said, "She's 25 years old, she's from Japan, she's black and weighs 450 pounds and her name is Kawasaki."

How goes the carburator wars? Have you gotten the ebay ones yet? I don't remember if I mentioned it but I bought two 932 amals from an 850 commando, just the ticket for period-looking performance on the 750's like mine. (Previous owner installed a single mikuni, but it looks really out of place). I probably paid too much, but I didn't really mind since I got a pair of 850 intake manifolds for $25.00!! I haven't gotten either in the mail just yet. The carbs will get a thorough going-through. the slides do wear out with time, but the guy says they work nice & smooth now, so they should be alright for a few years. Also I'm fiberglassing a solo seat for the commando presently, which is progressing pretty slowly.
