Just because I make up my mind to make changes in my life doesn't mean that anything else will change or that it'll make any kind of difference at all. I was all optimistic for about a week there, then I don't know what the fuck happened. I'm having crazy mood swings...

I love Friedrich. He new the value of suffering. Gastro-intestinal suffering at least. I wish he & Kierkegaard hadn't been separated by 50 years and several countries. They would have delighted in causing each other much anguish and frustration. I keep trying to remember to look for his (N) musical compositions on the rare occasion I go to tower records. Maybe I should look for vinyl on ebay instead. I just signed up for hammersnipe, I'm digging it.

I hiked about a mile yesterday, then tinkered on my bike, then installed some bump the trunk of my dad's old Nissan Sentra. He had a stereo system installed by some local idiots a few years ago. They put speakers in the back deck, but neglected to cut holes in the deck cover, so these nice Blaupunkt drivers were firing directly into the cover... splat...

Rough fucking night.

I tossed and turned for hours, finally got to sleep only to be greeted by nightmares. I woke up half an hour later, thrashing the sheets, all freaked out.

I put my carburetors back on my bike today. She didn't want to start at first, but a little shot of ether convinced her and she fired up. A little rough at first, but once she warmed up the idle settled into an easy lope and the throttle was very responsive!

I took her for a test ride and

Yes, that is a great idea! I will try to figure out how to post phone cam pictures of it. I like the "alleged desk" comment. That was funny... that would make a good band name. I only made a couple of minor mistakes. I'm not very mechanically inclined.

My shoes are size 15 usually... I have a couple of 14's and 16's though. What a pain in the ass it is to find shoes!? Suits are the worst though, everything needs to be tailored. Good times.

I would love to get a bike some day... but again, I am not very mechanically inclined, so it would probably cost me a fortune to keep up with it.
