I'm not a YouTube member, but is it a Bill Hicks clip (as somebody mentioned)? He was great. I was so bummed when he died, I couldn't believe it. You have to wonder what he would say about people, music and politics today.

That magazine is at my work a lot. It has some interesting articles.

There is something about yard work which always leaves me feeling happy afterwards.

I've been thinking about your attempt recently, because of how much time has passed since then. There've also been some attempts by people over here (acquaintances, and two different friends' mothers). I didn't see this journal until today or I would have responded earlier. (I've been away for a couple of days and then mildly unwell.)

I didn't know that music tied into what went down last year, but it sounds like the tech job could be good for you. You'll get to circulate with some new people in a new space (a change of pace from from the necessary recharging at home), and generally be around some of the kinds of things you love. I think that this could be true of any direction you choose, not just the guitar tech position at this one place. Don't push yourself too quickly but, if you're ready for something new, good luck with this.

Oh, and I've been listening to "Smothered and Covered". I like it, although I had to first let go of any preconceptions I had before hearing it. The vocals are not what I expected, but I like it. The question now is whether I will like their other music that doesn't sound like this.

I plan to watch King Kong at some point. I imagine I should have seen it in the theatres. meh.

Yeah, new movies kind of suck....they don't even use real anything anymore...it's all stage or greenscreen or computer...I'm surprised we still have actors!

Those little z.vex amps are really cool. Zachary seems like a creative guy (he posts to the stompbox forum I read) and all of his stuff is just plain neat.

Fucken aye, that's great! I think I worked like 14 hours every day this week, which is both good and bad, no riding. We're supposed to have thunderstorms today, so I'll probably stay in the garage & work on the buggy which is just fine. I got an awesome jet guage/reamer set that I'm very stoked on.
