you're right, I think i will go post it over there. the seat will definitely be a cafe style boat tail solo, so a compartment is something I'm hoping for. Fiberglass or sheet metal I guess is the question. I'm ham-fisted with glass, so it would weigh a ton by the time it was done. everything is done and together after a late night marathon. I got it to fire with the gas in the float bowls last night and was surprised that it didn't seem that loud, I'm anxious!
-battery- I've heard that with the stroker & big bore kits the battery/starter team gets a real workout, so smaller might not cut it. getting rid of kickers was really stupid in my opinion. put 'em both on there & let the kids ditch the starter weight and the fogeys can replace the kicker with a billet cup holder or whatever.
feeling any better yet? it fucking NICE out here finally. What did you use to cut that Belshe logo out with? looks like a shitload of work. hate to make you jealous, but I bought a 110V plasma cutter on craigslist a while ago, when I saw the logo I thought about how pleasantly it cuts and how much sweat would have to go into cutting and filing something like that logo by hand by or dremel or wire band saw or anything else I could imagine. I have a hard time holding the cutter steady though, especially on a pot of coffee. could mess up something intricate quick.
I'm thinking anytime between now and next August, and most likely multiple trips...but late March would work provided it's not the weekend of the 22nd....I'll be in Jersey then
I finally bit the bullet and started going through this big box of photos. They go back to the 1980s, and there are even some from the 70s. Pics of me with friends, bands, motorcycles, guitars, girls... you know, all the important stuff. (Did you know I first went to college as a Photocommunications major?)
It's sorta like therapy: Coming to terms with my past,... Read More
Action Man brought one of his guitars over so I could work a little magic on it, then I rode my motorcycle into town and caught a little bit of his set. He and a bass player do a happy hour acoustic (plugged in) show with lots of classic rock and blues top 40 numbers. They're pretty good, too.
Jeez, you're like the Professor on Gilligan's Island, making crazy stuff out of found parts and coconuts. (Or maybe MacGuyver, if I continue with totally dated references.)
Merry Belated Christmas. I know you're not much for religious celebrations (and neither am I, really), but I wish you well just the same. And try to stay warm. (Those snowy pictures look unpleasant.)
That is a really good deal on that book, or CD or what ever it is.
That is a really sad story, that girl was so young, now she will never know what it is like to move out and find a real job and fall in love, stuff like that makes me really sad.
I promised myself I wouldn't bitch and moan about the side effects this month, but goddammit I'm going nuts here! It's like I get bitchy when I'm on my period or something. It's worse this month because I've been cooped up indoors for so long. It's been cold and wet and shitty, so if I don't have a good reason to go out in it... Read More
Hope you've got power, if not hope I you've got heat of some sort available. I hadn't seen the news, but today I was on the phone with a factory in Tulsa & got the low down. Stay warm!
Winter's here. We're going to get slammed with freezing rain and sleet tomorrow night, and I have to drive up to the city for the monthly infusion on Monday.
Medication side effects + ice storm + not riding motorcycle =
we hadn't talked about Rev. Dan's & I'd never been there before so THANKS! the links to individuals' podcasts are awesome, but there's a ton of other cool stuff there also!
