Well, I'm full of good news to report!
As of tonight, I found out that my best friend since kindergarten is going to have a baby! His girlfriend/unofficial fiance is about 5 1/2 months along, and they just found out. If there is a single one of my friends who I feel would be capable of raising a productive member of society, he is the one.
Also, though far less important by comparison, I bonded with one of my roommates this last weekend. Since I've moved into this house a year ago I've basically followed the same routine of coming home, hiding in my room, and only coming out for meals and to leave. Pretty much the only times I've really hung out with my roommates have involved the intake of alcoholic beverages.
Well, this weekend, Sonja and I hung out and just talked for two days damn near uninterrupted... sober. It was fantastic. I'm really hoping that we can do it again some time soon.
Oh, and on a related note, my roommates will be out of town this friday night, so party at my house if you're from Sac and feel like partying at some strange guys house in the suburbs.
