Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & all that jazz! I hope everyone's holiday season was lovely.

I had a great time over the holidays, spent lots of it with family and friends, overindulged and generally lived the high life!

I'm not really one for the whole 'new year, new me' stuff, however there is something about this time of year that prompts one to look at what they have achieved and what has yet to be achieved.

They say the ambitious are never truly satisfied - something I can relate to wholeheartedly - but I think it depends what your ambitions are. Until very recently, my ambitions were simple: travel, learn as much as I can about everything and spend as much time as possible having fun with great people. Whilst these are still things that I'll be striving to accomplish, I've set myself a more specific goal - something which annoyingly, I can't really go into detail about - something that will completely change my life if it comes off.

In the meantime, I'll be carrying on basically the same as always. Travelling up and down the country for work - hopefully a little less often than before Christmas.

A great thing about this time of year is that almost everyone is thinking about what the coming year has to offer and as a result, it's the perfect time to make plans. After the disappointment of not getting Glastonbury tickets (something I'll try to rectify in the resales) my attention turned towards holiday plans. I've got bored of the whole 'lads on tour' experience - drinking inordinate amounts of watered down spirits in a chav infested 18-30s resort doesn't have the same appeal as it used to. With that in mind I decided to do something much more enriching; I'm going to New York!

The details are yet to be finalised; as yet I only know it'll be May/June, I'm going with a few friends, one of which will be celebrating their 21st birthday during the trip which will be brilliant. The next 5/6 months are going to be spent planning/getting ridiculously excited about it, so if you have any 'must visit' places to see/things to do or even just NYC based stories, I'd love to hear them!

Anyway, I've rambled on enough - I haven't been on here for ages (again) so felt like I should catch up!

Take care
