Ray Charles died. No big maudlin ode to greatness. It just makes me sad.

Yay! Someone else gets it! biggrin

Now if we can just control the urge to help them. That will never happen!

So I am hoping sometime this weekend or next week to get some more pics up of the 'Cuda. I just have to get him all washed and waxed.

Here is a little encouragement....You can do it! Go and build the biggest badest 440 stroker west of the Mississippi. (I would say ever, but then it would be better than mine, and where would the fun in that be?) smile

Oh, criminy. I found another project truck. '76 Power Wagon, 318/727, AC, 4WD of course. A beater though, but cheap. I need this like I need a hole in my head, but it's *so* *cool*. Wonder if I could find a place to put it... eeek

Back, but still struggling with work. It's OK, though. Allow me to praise the genius engineer who came up with the little machine in the rest stop halfway between SF and LA which dispenses not only coffee, but hot chocolate and little cups of Cafe Americano. Indispensible.
Loooooong drive back. But Box Canyon park is worth the trip, quite pretty. Drove tons, sweated a lot,...

Thanks love! Remote hugs back to you too!

I agree it is the more difficult path. I wonder if a person like me can ever do it? Or are we able to find a compromise that can work? I know that it is not something I want, but it is something that must occur, and I'm not too down with that to be honest. Argh. Use the force for good instead of evul. Indeed.

Dear girls:
When you take nekkid pix to be posted on the internet, please remove the tags from your panties, bras, etc. It's quite distracting. I'll be looking at the booty ( ARRR!!! ) and see a tag, and then I'll think about dry cleaning, and then laundry, and then how my house needs cleaning, and I'm not thinking about the booty ( ARRR!!! ) anymore.
So...

Sorry, friends. Deadline Hell week 2. I love SG, but it's a great way to blow hours of time not getting things done. I'll be checking in occasionally, but this coming week is shot, too.
But I'm around! Just for shorter amounts of time.
See ya!

Today's conundrum:
Creative freedom versus making money.
I'm making money.
I miss freedom.
I like eating, though, and heat and a roof.
And gas for the Coronet.
Shit.

(grin) No ass kicking necessary. I was not warned about it. It was not indicated, but this is someone who does know me extremely well, and really assumed I had to have heard the news. Because of my life and background, I usually get a ton of odd stuff that is not meant for public consumption. I am not angry at him for exposing me to it, though warning would have been nice. I would have probably still watched it had I known what it was, but would have had a different mind set viewer to watch it with. I doubt I would have reacted so violently to it. I have seen worse, I really have. After more than a year out of the world...my life has always been surrounded by violence, whether it was where I was living, work related, or by my relationships. I have never been out of it fully until now, and even still I have had it here on various levels. I am glad in some aspects that I did get shaken up, and there are a few reasons for that. It tells me that I have gotten a little too comfortable here. It explains to me why I have had a few run in's that in my normal world would NEVER have happened. I am not happy to have those images burned on my mind...virtue out of necessity.

I am enlightened.

I wrote this to a friend:
'II've lately been wondering whether I'll really be able to find anyone, because I've been hammered so many times, I think I'm broken. '

It's true. It's like I can't like someone who likes me first. I've been beaten into this misshapen form where I have to like THEM more than they like ME. How fucked up is that?...

on klaire's comment: Which is why the broken people find each other and bond so well I suspect.

-methinks she is right.... we seem to gravitate to each other.... better to have some support from others like us, than none at all...

OK, weird mood-swinginess seems to have departed. Thank you for your patience.
gypsyphoenix:
patience is a virtue....

mood-swinginess is the story of my life....

that's pretty much it... not really an interesting comment, but i'm in a weird mood, so there! smile

There are some seriously pretentious jackasses who post on this site...
People who pose really suck, and people who pose so they can knock other people for no good reason suck even more. Especiallyl a pussy who can't even post his pic on his own profile.Sometimes I just hate all of humanity.
Maybe I'm a bit cranky. More wine?

Yesterday I took the Coronet out for the monthly rip 'round the block. It's been a while, and I forgot how much driving that thing turns me on. The vibration, the noise, the smell as the engine heats up, combined with the gasoline I spilled on my clothes all pretty much gave me a hard-on. When I was at the light before I turn toward...
