I'm sorry I've been out of touch. It has been a busy week. Lord willing and creek don't rise, I'll post puppy pictures today.
It's cold here. Here are some pictures from the weekend, mostly of warming up calves. I got one of the sun this morning, and then my phone said it was too cold for the battery. I love the idea of having a bit of water to take care of. Old family story is that during the depression my great uncles dynamited a lovely bend in the creek because they really needed to till every bit of acreage they could. their youngest sister was heartbroken because she loved that shady spot, so they made her a wardrobe out of the trees from the site. That wardrobe is my linen closet now.
I took a picture from the other end of a loader than I'm usually on, and I made Johnny marzetti for supper. Life is good.

It has been pretty cold these past few day... feels like Alaska.

@royal I knew a guy from Anchorage some time ago.... We compared temperatures and learned that it is colder, on average, here than it was there. He was also right by the coast, so I understand that the large mass of water caused them to have much less temperature swings. It still surprised me though..... It had me thinking about moving the herd to the Kenai peninsula for a while, but this is home.
