ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!
Moulin Rouge is playing on the Oxygen channel right now. This is a movie that should *never* be on television.
Why?
This movie should *never* be watched/heard with mere stereo audio; it should never be seen on any screen smaller than a wall; it should *never* be viewed in full-screen (as opposed to widescreen); it should never have commercial interruptions.
It is, in my opinion, one of the best movies *ever* made, if not *the* best. I have a pretty kick-ass surround theater set up in the house for DVD viewing; there no cable in that room, though, so I'm watching it on a little 13" TV in my computer room; the TV has mono audio. Oxygen is broadcasting as fullscreen, and there're commercials every 10 minutes. So frustrating!
I'd go watch the DVD in the other room right now, because now I really want to see MR again, but my DVD was stolen, and I haven't replaced it yet
So, I can't watch it the way it *should*, the way it *must*, be watched; I can't change the channel because it's still so awesome a story and such beautiful imagery.
This is horrible!

You're going to hate me now, but I couldn't watch Moulin Rouge without feeling uncomfortable. I kind of appreciated what they were doing with the music, but I couldn't help thinking it was so silly. And even if I was supposed to appreciate that it was silly, it was just too silly.

I agree with Twinkie on this movie. I watched it one night with a girl who said it was a sword fighting kind of movie. Hah! I guess it wasn't terrible, but musical movies just aint in my forte' I guess. Did you notice they finally moved the server for KOD trivia? About fucking time they did something. One of us has to win a leather book, or at least the Asha' man pins. Have a good one man.
