I saw Transformers today (well, Saturday...) and it was hella awesome! Go watch it. Go...Now!

I can't believe I never listened to Hum before... What the hell is wrong with me? I'd never even heard of them until about 8 months ago. Then a friend suggested I check them out (I should have listened to her). But it wasn't until I ran across a video of them performing Stars that I realized what I had been missing out on.

Makes me wonder...what other bands have I missed?

I'm not much of a writer; it's just not something I do often, although I enjoy the process. I've wanted to write since I was about 12 or so. Anyway, I've got an idea for a story knocking around in my head that's been there since Friday night. I'm not sure exactly what it's going to be like. All I know so far is that it's going to be about an old woman who goes outside every day before dawn and sings as the sun rises. She sings in each new day.

That's a beautiful image, isn't it? Someone who celebrates each new dawn like that?

I have most of it written in my head; and I have a very specific idea of the tone I want to set with the story. Now I just have to sit my ass down in front of a blank screen and transfer it from my head to the screen.

I need to stop drinking long enough for that to happen...I'm not sure if that'll happen...
