Just finished another 48 hours shift at the ambulance. Yesterday was a FUBAR day. I got up at 6 am to cook breakfast for the crew. Sausage links, hashbrowns, pancakes, and eggs. Just as the eggs were finished we had to do a hospital transport. FML. I would not complain but this ignorant bitch has been transported twice for braxton hicks contractions in the last 3 days. This time her water had not broken, no bloody show, and still 3 weeks until due date but she demanded transport to the hospital. So away my partner go leaving a great meal on a plate to go cold and uneaten. The nurses in the OB department totally lit into this chick about wasting resources of the community. Leaving meals uneaten would be the theme of the day yesterday as same thing happened when I made lunch and ended up throwing out my just made frozen burritos, and at supper time throwing out my sweet and sour chicken and rice. Yesterday meals ended up being Power-Ade, beef jerky, and Rockstar. I can normally deal with that but today is a fasting day for me since I have a colonoscopy tomorrow. I grabbed some McDonalds on the way home and had a unhealthy breakfast but it was carbs to carry me through the day. So just gatorade and colon cleanse for the rest of the day for me.
